Stan Store alternatives at a glance
The Stan Store alternatives worth pricing are Payhip, Beacons, Ko-fi, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy and Podia, and five of them charge no monthly fee to start. Stan's Creator plan is $29 a month, or $300 a year, per Stan's help center, and Stan offers no free plan. Stan takes a 0% transaction fee, meaning no share of each sale; PayPal and Stripe charge their own processing fees on top.
Payhip's Free Forever plan is $0 a month plus a 5% Payhip transaction fee, as read on 6 October 2026. Plus is $29 a month plus 2%, and Pro is $99 a month with no Payhip fee. Gumroad and Lemon Squeezy act as merchant of record, the platform that collects and remits tax on each sale.
Podia is the one alternative that costs more than Stan Creator at entry. Prices below are monthly billing unless a cell says otherwise.

Start free on Payhip →Payhip: every feature on a $0 plan
Payhip says it has no feature-gating: every plan has the same features, so Free Forever includes coupon codes, which Payhip's help describes as promotions for one product, all products or one collection, and email updates to past buyers. Stan's help center lists discount codes, quantity limits and payment plans under Creator Pro, with order bumps there too, at $99 a month, or $948 a year.
Payhip's trade is the fee: 5% on Free Forever, and 2% on Plus at $29 a month, the same monthly price as Stan Creator. Unlike Stan, Payhip has a Free Forever plan: its pricing page says no credit card is required, there is no monthly price and the fee is 5% a sale. Payhip vs Stan Store sets the plans side by side, and is Payhip free covers what the free plan leaves you to pay.
Beacons and Ko-fi: free tiers with a cut
Beacons sells unlimited digital products on its $0 Free plan for a 9% seller fee; Creator at $10 a month keeps the 9%, and Creator Plus at $30 a month drops it to 0%.
Ko-fi Standard is $0 a month with a 5% service fee on all payment types, plus normal processor fees, and Ko-fi pays you through your own PayPal or Stripe account. Gold is $12 a month for 0%, an optional tier: Ko-fi's Gold page says you no longer need it.
Gumroad and Lemon Squeezy: pay per sale, tax handled
Gumroad charges no monthly fee and keeps 10% plus $0.50 of each direct sale; its help center says that does not include card processing. Gumroad says it handles all your tax obligations.
Lemon Squeezy takes 5% plus 50 cents a sale with no monthly charge and, like Gumroad, acts as merchant of record. Its docs say the fee covers card transaction fees, so the two cuts are not measured the same way.
Podia: email built in on Mover
Podia Mover is $49 a month, or $42 a month on yearly billing, with a 5% transaction fee, 50 products and up to 100 email subscribers. Shaker is $99 a month, or $84 a month on yearly billing, with no Podia fees. Podia offers a 14-day free trial that asks for no credit card, and a seller pays processor charges on top.
When Stan Store is still worth $29 a month
Stan is still worth $29 a month when you want a 0% transaction fee from the first sale and a flat bill. Stan.store shows a 14-day trial, and Creator Pro adds discount codes, order bumps, email tools and affiliate management at $99 a month.
Pick Payhip to start at $0 a month, pay 5% a sale and move to Plus at $29 a month for 2% when you choose. Pick Beacons for a free plan at 9% with 0% on Creator Plus at $30 a month, and Ko-fi for a $0 Standard tier at 5% that also takes tips.
