Understand the visible change
Payhip describes stamping the buyer’s email and purchase date onto qualifying PDF pages. That changes the delivered document. Consider where that information will appear if the buyer prints or shares a page for legitimate assistance. Do not show real customer-stamped pages in public examples.
Check the documented limits
The current protection help limits this feature to portrait PDFs below 250MB. A landscape layout or other file type should not be described as protected by the same mechanism. A file passing the size condition still needs a layout check to make sure the stamp does not cover useful content.
Evaluate the actual pattern workflow
A note at the edge of an instruction page can have different consequences from text near an important pattern area. Inspect a representative authorised preview or test in your own workflow before relying on the feature. We have not performed that merchant test here and do not certify every layout as compatible.
Make a balanced choice
Use stamping only if its benefit outweighs the visual and privacy friction for your product. Keep a sensible support process regardless. A visible identifier can discourage casual sharing, but it is not proof of who redistributed a file and should not be presented as a complete anti-piracy system.

Before relying on a stamp, draw a simple layout note showing where important content sits near the top edge of a representative page. Do not use a real buyer’s email to create public examples. If the layout cannot accommodate the mark cleanly, a different protection choice may be more appropriate. Keep the original unstamped master under your control. The presence of a stamp is not evidence that an entire package, including non-PDF files, receives the same treatment.
