What to know

The documented tiers

On our review date Payhip listed Free Forever at $0 per month plus 5%, Plus at $29 per month plus 2%, and Pro at $99 per month with no Payhip transaction fee. Processor charges are additional. Check the pricing page before committing; a zero platform transaction fee is not a zero total cost.

What to know

Keep the comparison like for like

Our local worksheet uses one monthly USD sales input and those published platform rates. It deliberately excludes processor fees, taxes, refunds, currency conversion, optional tools and your work. Do not enter profit or annual revenue into a monthly sales field. Use the sales base to which your actual fees apply.

What to know

What the crossover does not say

At a mathematical crossover two platform fee totals match; it is not evidence that your next month will reach that level. A single seasonal release can distort a subscription decision. Compare several plausible months, including a quiet month, and account for any switching or billing conditions visible in the actual merchant account.

What to know

Decide with a range

Try your recent low, typical and high month separately. If the difference is small, clarity and operational fit may matter more than a few dollars. If the difference is substantial, verify the input and current rates before changing plans. No result in this guide initiates a subscription, connects an account or stores your figures.

What to know

An original working example

For illustration, at $1,000 of eligible monthly sales the stated platform formulas produce $50 on Free, $49 on Plus and $99 on Pro, before excluded costs. The one-dollar Free/Plus difference is too small to justify a sweeping business claim. At zero sales the fixed monthly charges still matter. These examples explain arithmetic only: they are not a recommendation to subscribe or an assertion about typical pattern revenue. Write the pricing date beside your own comparison and keep separate lines for expenses not included here. If you change currency, do not mix converted sales with unconverted monthly fees.

The evidence behind this buying guidance

This guide draws on Payhip pricing. Merchant-controlled records describe the provider’s own capabilities, terms or standards; they do not independently validate those claims. These records do not establish independent confirmation of the product claims.

Verify any current price, plan limit, label direction, compatibility rule, or commercial term that would materially change the decision. The dated source ledger shows the underlying records so this conclusion can be checked and updated.
